In 1960, Arnold Palmer had a stroke of bad luck. Then, he had a few more. By the time he reached the final round of the U.S. Open® at Cherry Hills Country Club in Colorado, “the King” of golf was seven strokes back. Legend has it that Palmer stopped into the clubhouse ON THE TURN that afternoon for the iceD tea/lemonade DRINK that bears his name today. Whether or not that signature concoction fueled his performance in the greatest come-behind win in golf history may remain an open question. What isn’t is his status as a true original—just like the singular mix of black tea and lemon you’ll discover in our beautifully balanced 1960 blend.
We like to keep things simple with our ingredients—1960 only contains:
Kettle-brewed Black Tea (water, black tea), Cane Sugar, Citric Acid, Lemon Juice, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Lemon flavor.
